After bursting onto the scene in 2010, notching up tours with Karnivool, Cog and Front End Loader, last September Melbourne duo OVER-REACTOR gave AFL supporters everywhere reason to cheer (or sneer) when they released their single WHEN COLLINGWOOD CHOKE.
Now Ezekiel Ox and Cory Blight are back with a brand new Footy Anthem to celebrate not only another AFL Finals Series, but AFL’s supremacy as the most watched and loved sport in Australia.
It’s called RUGBY LEAGUE IS CRAP, and in just over two minutes OVER-REACTOR seriously hinder their chances of being able to tour safely in NSW or QLD ever again.
Ezekiel had this to say about their latest offering to the football community:
“Living in Melbourne, Cory and I have witnessed Rugby League struggle desperately for relevance alongside our beloved and superior AFL. But week after week, Melbourne will have crowds of over 50,000 at regular season AFL games. The reason for this is simple: AFL is a more graceful, skilful and overall appealing game that Rugby League, and we have used the majesty of the footy anthem to make sure this fact is spread a far and wide as possible.”
Whilst multi-instrumentalist Cory Blight had this to say:
"Average AFL crowds are almost double that of the NRL. This proves AFL is almost twice as good.
